I am very pleased with Dr. Clark and his whole program at the Weight Loss Surgery Center of Hampton Roads. He has this down to a science...preop to postop. Every person I met who is involved with the program, be it the trainer at the gym or the girl who works behind the desk at the Center for Metabolic Health, are all well-informed/knowledgeable about weight loss surgery, extremely pleasant, and patient. My first impression of Dr. Clark was this man is awesome. He is very friendly and he put my mind at ease. He gave me all the information I needed he showed me exactly where the incisions would be at on my abdomen. He gave you time to ask questions he listened and gave you the best answer he could give you. I will be having the lapband surgery I'm just waiting forinsurance clearance. I am really looking forward to the surgery and all my follow up appt. because like I said this is a great doctor and the staff is great also. Dr. Clark is a very compassionate person and he has a wonderful bedside manner. He explained everything that was going to happen to me to my family and myself. The office staff at WLSC are very helpful in thier knowledge of the procedure and how things work. The FNP Nancy is wonderful too. I have seen her a few times and she is very encouraging and very sweet and kind hearted. Overall, I would have to say that this was the best experience I have every had with a Dr.'s office. His office staff is very helpful and kind. They will help with anything you need or need to know. He feels aftercare is very, very important. He has a very structured aftercare program. He explained all the risks of surgery. The staff goes an extra mile to help you succeed afterwards. I rate him overall as excellent, staff included. Dr. CLark seem's GREAT!!! I've heard WONDERFUL things about him. So far, I've only met him at the seminar. Looking forward to the one on one visit.
His staff has been great. All the girls at the office are so nice and always have the answers I'm looking for. I've talked to Dawn quite a bit... due to an abnormal EKG. Things are great now and I have clearance for surgery. They all stress a very structured after care program and Dr. Clark definitely covers the issue of death. I would rate him (so far) as a A+ doctor. Surgical competence and good bedside manner are both very important to me.

Insurance required a physical done by Dr. CLark so I have now met with him one on one. He is awesome. Very nice and informative. He asked me several times if I had any questions for him.... [Click here for more] He explained everything so "on the level" that I understood everything. I have my pre-op appt tomorrow 5-4-06. My surgery is scheduled for 5-16-06.
6-6-06 I am 3 weeks post op today. Gosh, Dr. Clark... I can't say enough GREAT things about him. He was wonderful. All the nurses at the hospital were good and I got excellent care. My post op appt with Dr. CLark was great too. I'm losing @ a pound each day. As of today I am down -25 lbs. Dr. Clark has given me the tool I needed to get my life back. Thank You Dr. CLark for believing in me and giving me a new start on life.
6-4-07 Wow, a year has passed and I am doing GREAT!!! Dr. Clark is impressed with my results and encourages how great I look and my accomplishments... He is a AWESOME doctor. Thanks Dr. C for caring so much about help obese patients and giving us our lives back... God is so good!!!
