My first impression of Dr Ahmad was a feeling of trust. There was something about him at the seminar that made me open up to him with no concerns. rnHis office staff is excellent, they are caring, supportive and very positive. rnI can not think of a thing that I don't like about Dr. Ahmad.rnHe know's what he is talking about follow his suggestions and you will succeed!rnHe is a +10 in my book I couldn't have done as well as I did if it wasn't for his guidence and support. Pre-Op: Adore this man. Probably has the best run practice on Long Island. Although I am concerned about altering my digestive process and all the potential side effects, including death, I do have faith in Dr. Ahmad's skill as a surgeon. Beyond that he is just an amazing human being.rnrnI have watched my waistline increase and my health deteriorate enormously and feel both gratitude and optomism that someone like Dr. Ahmad has the ability to help me regain my health.rnrnAlso of note is that fact that he turned Mather Hospital into a Bariatric Center of Excellence. Dr Ahmad is awesome! He has a good bedside manner, he explained everything fully and always answers all my questions. I felt and still do feel completely safe with my life in his hands. He can be stern and yell at you, but it all because he has your best interest at heart. The office staff is great, but I feel they are very disorganized but not due to anything other than they have too many clients. They need to expand their practice, but who am I? Let me start by saying that Dr. Ahmad is a wonderful doctor. He was so inviting and comfortable to talk to. He and his wife are with you every step of the way. The office staff is exceptional, I have never felt out of place. Everyone in the office knows you by your first name after the first visit which puts you even more at ease. I first met Dr. Ahmad and the staff at an information meeting that you are required to go to before having a consultation. I was very informative and Dr. Ahmad addressed all the risks of the surgery plus showed all of his statistics for the surgery which I feel are outstanding. From what I have seen and heard from his patients that have had the procedure, Dr. Ahmad is very involved in everything that takes place. He is very intricate and expects only... [Click here for more] the best. He and his wife give 110% of themselves and I couldn't ask for anything better. There are not enough words to describe Dr. Ahmad, his wife and his staff. My first impression of his office was great. I called on the phone to get information and the Doctor's wife spend a good 30 to 40 mintues with me explaining everything. It was then that she told me about the support goup meetings where I could meet Dr. Ahmad and other patients who already had the surgery. At my first meeting everyone from the Dr. Ahmad staff was great. They answer all question and made you feel welcomed and comfortable.As I went thru the process of getting ready for the surgery I felt very comfortable and all my question were answer.The Doctors staff was great, they were friendly courtesy and respectful. I know some people feel unfortable because of there weight and at this office there is no reason to feel that way.The Doctor himself has a great bedside manner and... Dr. Ahmad has been wonderful. He is so kind and gentle. He tr uly cares for his patients. The office staff is caring and thoughtful. They definitely helped me through everything.rnIt's been a year now and I am so happy about my results. People I haven't seen in a while don't recognize me. I am off all of my meds. Plain and simple---rnBest DR EVER!rnGastric bypass (RNY) is THE best thing i ever did for myself.rnI feel like Dr. Ahmad saved my life.rnHe is amazing-- even prayed before the surgery! I felt like (and still do feel) like his ONLY patient- even though he has hundreds. His wife (Seema) works in the office with him. I truly feel like we are all one big family! The office staff is so very friendly. NO question is ever 'stupid" and you can ask it a million times and they all just smile and answer. They are all very understanding and patient. They know what they are doing and have excellent communication/contacts with the insurance companies to help the dreaded insurance process to go fast and smoothe. I have minimal scarring on my abdomen. NO complications. I love the support groups.... [Click here for more] NEVER was concerned or scared about the surgery--- was just nervous overall, but always felt safe with Dr. Ahmad. You will too.
