I returned to Dr. Ferrari because I figured he would be more familiar with his own work and that it would be easier for him to determine and repair where/if needed instead of starting over in foreign territory. At first the Dr wouldnt see me because my initial complaint was only of a 20 lb weight gain. He suggested that I contact a nutritionist because 20 lbs is normal for 8 years. Once I met with him, he listened to my concerns and then sent me for testing. My hernia was discovered and deemed for repair, I started researching any options available to me for continuous weight loss. I understood that Dr Ferrari wanted to make sure that I was aware of my responsibilities to keep the weight off so I wouldnt think it just a quick fix, the risks involved. I appreciate the expertise.... [Click here for more]

My first consultation appointment with Dr. Ferrari was today, 6/10/09. He was very nice and his staff was very pleasant too. I found him to be very personable and easy to talk with. Most importantly, he is a very experienced surgeon. I'm awaiting for my paperwork to be sent in and insurance approval. I hope I can have my surgery soon!    Posted on 06/10/2009

Dr. Ferrari is a very special man and I was very impressed with him. He worked very hard getting approval of a normal weight person, who is so afraid of just geting a takedown of her vbg, so he is doing a vertical sleeve gastrectomy, as well as the vbg takedown, and he convinced the insurance company to approve it, on the first letter. I`m very grateful to get my life back. 9-26-06 Dr. Ferrari did my revision to vertical sleeve gastrestomy, and I`m doing great. I thank Dr. Ferrari with all my heart, he is a great surgeon and human being.    Posted on 01/21/2009

Dr. Ferrari is one of the best surgeons out there. He has a VERY positive attitude and is truely concerned about his patients. My husband really liked him. He explained every step for him and that made a world of difference for him!    Posted on 11/20/2008

My first impression of Dr. Ferrari was that he was very confident. He was kind, understanding and not at all freaked out by any question I had or any comment I made. He was calm and self-assured, which is exactly what I like in a doctor. He doesn't go overboard flooding your mind with information, but gives you exactly what you need, which I also appreciated. I didn't want a doctor who was overwhelming. I would have backed out of the surgery. His bedside manner is great as well. He's a man of very few words but again, very nice. Throughout my surgery and post-op care he has been nothing but wonderful. I would highly recommend him to anyone.    Posted on 10/14/2008

Very kind, calm and reasurring. His office staff is very helpful. I would rate him very highly. His surgical competence and bedside manner are both great. I would have no problems recommending him to anyone. I would have liked more information about the recovery period and what to expect post-op, but other than that I haven't experienced anything negative.    Posted on 07/26/2008

I like Dr. Ferrari a lot. His bed side maner is not everything it could be, but the man knows his stuff. And that helps like him even that much more. His staff is very helpful with any problems that I had. They all were there for me when I needed them know matter what time of day!    Posted on 07/22/2008

Dr. Ferrari is very professional. Not very chatty, but all questions are answered. He seems to really appreciate the research and the questions I asked prior to surgery. What I liked least about Dr. Ferrari is that I didn't get to spend more time with him. But I know he's busy and that would have been difficult. Quite frankly, there was probably not enough time in the world that I could have spent with him. I was a wee bit nervous before surgery. His office staff is attentive and always reachable, which is great. The day I was released from the hospital, a staff member called to make sure I was comfortable and talked to me about why I should slow down on my meds. Aftercare in Dr. Ferrari's office is as important as pre-op care. I'm in a structured program. I understand... [Click here for more]
