Dr. Enochs is an excellent Dr. He is patient and he listens and he is friendly, plus he is a beautiful looking man :).
His office staff on the other hand is terrible. It is like pulling teeth to get responses from these people. I had to call and call and call and make surprise in person visits to the office to follow-up on what information they still needed before they submitted to insurance. They never return phone calls no many how many times you leave a message. They claimed they were going to get my medical records from all my PCPs but they didn't, and worse they didn't notify me that they were still waiting for that. Then I had to be extremely assertive to get them to submit to insurance and schedule my clinical results visit in a timely fashion. And they have this... [Click here for more] that they can't do the clinical results visit until after they get approval from the insurance company which seems fine in theory but then when I went to the clinical results visit, I found out I needed to have my gall bladder out first, which I wish they would have told me way ahead of time when they first got the results because as it turned out last year I could have had my lap band surgery completely free because I had met all of my out of pocket maximums last year. If they had told me earlier I could have had my gall bladder out while I was waiting to hear back from the insurance company about the surgery and then gotten my lap band done in December. That really pissed me off.
I like Dr. Enochs but his staff is just not good. Also, word to the wise if you are scheduled for an appt. make sure you anticipate staying there for 3 hours it takes a long long time to see Dr. Enochs because he is patient with every patient (not complaining, I'm just giving some friendly advice).

Heard nothing but good and kind things about this surgeon. I had surgery on January 15, 2010 with Dr.Enoch. Did not get to see him until after surgery was over. But he did a great job. I had a hernia removed alone with SILS. Everything went well.
Dr.Enochs staff is not people persons. In other words they can be rude, unorganized.I can never get to speak to direct staff when I call, have to hold for 10 min or longer and listen to this loud music in my ear. And then they might get back to you, and they might not. This is an answering service for the office. It is terrible. They may return your call and may not .Very unprofessional, talking in a rush. not taking time for the patient. Not friendly at all. Posted on 01/23/2010 |

He had / has great bedside manner ! Never been judgemental, very compassionate !
The entire office staff is great and remain to be very supportive, even 2-years post-op. They still review diet and exercise, protein & carb info at every visit and continue to encourage and suggest changes to continue or to reboost weight loss. Would trust him to perform future surgeries or revisions, if he thought I needed them. He is very competent and I trust what he says, as well as his N.P. They are very concerned with my mental and physical health ! They are very supportive ! Posted on 10/28/2009 |

My first impression of Dr. Enochs, was he is a very kind and gentle man.
My impression has not changed over time, I still feel he is very kind, gentle, and understanding.
His office staff, are all the same way, kind, gentle, and understanding, and very helpful.
His emphasizes on after care is very intense. He encouraged me to go to groups meetings, online support, and to get to know other like patience.
Yes there are group meetings on the 4th Thursday of each month at Rex Hospital.
Yes he fully explained all the advantages, and disavantages of a Gastric Bypass surgery, He was very forth coming with all information.
I would put Dr. Paul Enochs (on a scale of 1-10) absoulty a 10!
Of course surgical competence must be a first, then a bedside manner, but Dr. Paul Enochs has both..... [Click here for more] a great plus.

He is very calm and kind. The surgery went very well. His bedside manner is great. He makes you feel like you are the only patient there and does not rush in and out. You may have to wait a bit at your appointments but it is well worth the wait, because when it is your turn you have undivided attention. Posted on 08/31/2009 |

Dr Enochs is great, great listener, cares about his patients. His staff are very nice.
Jana is Great!! Awesome also! - you can tell she is sincere in her happiness for you and the journey you are on.
Angelica is Awesome- knows her insurance requirements and is on top of things.
They do keep you informed on what to do for aftercare, they also sell the bariatric vitamins which is a plus and if you have question to call them, but sometimes hard to get a hold of someone ,but its a busy office-
Dr Enochs addressed the risks of the surgery but i have met many patients and have gone to his support meetings and everything i heard is positive, also the risk for me of staying the weight i was , was going to be worse for me and not let me live quality of life- he has years of... [Click here for more] experience.
His bedside manner is good and Surgical Competence exceeds others in my opinion.
This is my personal expression of what i experienced.

My first impression of Dr Enochs was how patient and understanding he was. It was as if I were the ONLY patient in the office. There were times that the wait at the office was a little long, but I knew that when it was my time I would not be rushed and could ask ANY questions and he would take time to answer. My surgery went as smooth as I could have ever imagined. I would 100% recommend Dr Enochs to ANYONE considering WLS! Posted on 08/08/2009 |
