Does anyone know about this type of insurance and if it covers WLS? BC/BS of NH

I do not work, however my husband does and his insurance is BC/BS of New Hampshire, (Matthew Thornton Blue) group plan, my insurance starts on April 1.Has anyone out there dealt with this specific insurance?, if so please help, it states in the exception clause that WLS will not be covered... but i have been reading other posts on this site that say their insurance had the same exceptions but they were covered? Also is there a specific amount of time i should wait before talking to my PCP about this for insurance purposes?
