Has anyone had trouble finding a surgeon due to high malpractice rates?

I called the center where I was hoping to have surgery at and found out that my surgeon (Dr. Fabito) maynot be taking any new patients once he finds out if his malpractice insurance is too high next month. I guess the new premiums come out then. Several other doctors in the St. Louis area have stopped doing the surgery for the same reason. My only hope is the Midwest Bariatric Center in Wentzville,MO. It sounds like its hard to get in there too. Anyway, I'm just really upset about the whole thing.
