Question:
Any body have suggestions?

My insurance requires a person to be 200% over ideal weight (which for my size is 130-144). Also at least 100 lbs overweight. I weigh 253 - my BMI is 40.7. I want to have this surgery, has anyone else been successful? My insurance is through Midland Choices/Health First. Don't have a lot of co-morbidities; basically joint,leg pain; tiredness, depression, heart-burn. I am wanting to have this surgery to be healthier and possibly avoid the family history of diabetes and heart conditions. Any suggestions?    — Becky M. (posted on April 18, 2002)
