Question:
Do have any rights to get my approval transfered to my new insurance company?

I was approved for wls now my employer is changing insurance companies. I was told the approval does not carry over and I have to resumit my claim but the new insurance company has limitations "weight loss or reduction of obesity, including surgical procedures and any drug used for weight control". Is there any thing I can do? I am writing the the Ohio Civil Rights Commission and the Ohio Department of Insurance.    — L R. (posted on July 8, 2002)
