I was denied by Kaiser So. Calif. My BMI is 48, and I weigh 308, I have Sleep Apnea

joint pain, Poly Cystic Ovaries, should I write a letter of appeal, or change insurance companies. I can get United Health PPO, is there a wiating period before I can qualify for such a surgery, being so new to a new insurer?    — DawnG. (posted on September 23, 2002)

I too was turned down by Kaiser. I fought and won. Contact the Department of Managed Health Care. Thier decision ooverturned Kaisers and I got my surgery.
