Question:
Anybody use United Healthcare PPO through Convergys?

We've been trying to find out information on specific plans through his work, but we seem to keep getting the run around. The human resources dept. at Convergys told him they'd sent him the information after he signed up. That's like buying a car without knowing what's in it. Has anybody ever gone through United at Convergys? The lady on the phone was going through the exclusions and said, "Obesity is not covered." Does that mean there is exclusion because I've heard that United is one of the best companies for approving WLS?    — Courtney G. (posted on September 24, 2002)

I work for Convergys in Cincinnati and got approved using the EPO, which is the same as the PPO I think. It took awhile though - probably 2 months after the surgeon submitted his letter for approval of the surgery. My surgery is scheduled for September 30th.

go to the insurers section on this site it was really helpful. I have UHC PPO and it is covered not many questions asked. UHC on the other hand you might as well ask a stranger. look on this site on insurers though it was mega helpful to me.
