Question:
Anyone willing to share PCP or personal letters that worked with insurers?

I am just starting the process. I have a supportive PCP but he doesn't have much experience recommending for my surgery. I expect a fight with my insurance company. I don't know anyone who has been approved by them. I am trying to be prepared as possible. Is anyone willing to share the letter they or their PCP sent that seemed effective at convincing the insurer to approve? Brenda, I would be happy to send you my letter, but your profile has no email address. If you send me an email at [email protected], I'll send you the letter I wrote to my insurance company. I don't know if it is great, but I was approved.

Send your email address and I will send you a copy of mine. I used the template on the website and customized it to my own. I can also let you know what my pcp wrote.

Brenda, Check out my profile. I have my letter and history on there. I had copies of this letter for every medical professional I saw throughout my process and got several good comments on it, how it was written and the info it provided. It made my consults and appointments go really quick and easy. Started the process in May & had surgery July 30th. Good Luck!
