Looking for a Psychologist in Arizona- Pacificare HMO Friendly

HAS ANYONE IN AZ HAD PACIFICARE HMO COVER THEIR PSYCH EVALUATION, IF SO, NAME OF DR? I am trying to find the name of any doctors in az that are contracted with pacificare hmo that does the mmpi psych evaluation. I don't have Pacificare but I had a good psychologist for testing. You could call her and find out what she takes. She is in Phoenix. Her name is Abby Garcia, PhD, phone is 602-604-9100. I really liked her she is very WLS friendly and she talked to me like she really cared about me. I would recommend her to anyone. Dana Myers

I don't have pacifcare in Arizona, I do have it here in Texas. I called Pacificare and had them refer me to someone, and they gave me the authorization code to give them so I knew they would pay for it. I t was quick and easy.

Hi, I have AETNA, but they don't pay for the psychologist. I have to self pay her. My surgeon in Phoenix, suggests Dr. Maxwell through Phoenix St. Lukes Weight Management Program. You'll need to contact your insurance co. to see if she is covered, or who else is in your area. I see her on Friday 3/7/03, so haven't seen her personally yet, but I've had friends who have and they all really liked her. My surgeon uses her because she does lots of these evalutations - she understand what we are going through! Good luck.
