Looking for a PCP in Kalamazoo Michigan who will refer me for surgery.

Does anyone know of a PCP in Kalamazoo, Michigan who will refer for surgery without a bunch of hassle?? I have Aetna POS thru National City.    — C P. (posted on March 29, 2003)

C P, just thought you'd like to know this, but I too have Aetna POS but it is out of Harvery IL where I work, but I didn't have to get a referal to get this surgery done. But then again I didn't go in my network either. Most doctors you see anyway will need to have at least 2 years of documented weightloss programs you've followed so I would suggest if you plan on staying "in network" then start your journey now if you've never had anything documented with other providers. If you have then I would go back to them or find out if your current PCP could get the documentation for you. Best of luck! Open RNY 8/20/02 -124 pounds.

I go to Dr. Cindy Smith at Bronson in downtown Kzoo. I moved to Kazoo about a month after I had the surgery but she has been great to work with and a great learning experience for her too.
