Question:
Anyone have wls with only medicare for insurance if so how much if any did you have

my best friend only had medicare. She had to pay four hundred on the surgeons bill and 800. on the hospital part. None of it had to be paid up front but that depends on hte hospital and surgeon. Also, there is no approval process for medicare. If your surgeon deems it medically necessary, they will pay.

I ended up with these bills: Hosp. 876.00 Anastesia 65.00 and I have not received a bill from the surgeon yet. But even if it is a few thousand that will be ok. I feel like I got off great.

I didn't have to pay anything out of pocket..but I also have the state medical card that may of picked up the balance.. Good Luck
