Question:
has anyone been successful with an employer changing the exclusion on policy?

I have BCBS of souhth carolina with an exclusion to any type of weightloss anything. I want to ask my employer to remove the exclusion. has anyone had any success doing this? and how did you go about it?    — Florence B. (posted on August 1, 2005)

I worked for UHC and have had employers override procedures before. It's not very common and I've never seen it done for WLS, but I have seen employers make special exceptions on a policy.
