I am having lap band surgery June 19th with a Dr. Rumbaut in Monterrey Mx. he has done quite a few people from the states the cost is around 8,500. for hospital the band and his fees. I'm self-pay and having my lap band surgery in Houston, TX, by Dr. Hadar Spivak of Baytown, TX. My date is August 6, 2003. The total charges are ~$13,000. Of course, they are broken down - so much for the doctor - so much for the hospital - etc. etc. But that's about it and that includes 1 year of post-op visits (fills, etc.)... Hope this helps
