Question:
advice, please...

I was just denied by Rush Prudential POS. I'm working with Weight for Life, and we are already getting our ducks in a neat lil' row for the appeal. I plan to send: *records of all PCP visits since submitting original claim *a picture history of all my weight losses and gains, ending up with me heavier now than I've ever been *letters from all the people who've known me and my struggle (my mom, my sister, friends) *original letter from PCP strongly advocating surgery *new letter from PCP outlining newest medical difficulties (been having some trouble the last month) *an appeal letter from me of course, as well as the more technical appeal letter from Weight for Life. I'm 35, 5'3", 243 lbs, and have degenerative arthritis, a hiatal hernia, shortness of breath, heart palps (although EKG reads normal - ?), severe lower back pain, and the other stuff that just goes with being obese. If anyone has any more suggestions, I'd be most appreciative! Many thanks!    — Linda K. (posted on December 3, 1999)
