Question:
IS THERE ANY WAY TO FIGHT AN EXCLUSION

I CALLED AND ASKEDIF MY POLICY COVERED WLS AND WAS TOLD YES. I WENT THROUGH ALL PRE-OPS (PAID FOR BY THEM) AND WAS TOLD 3 DAYS BEFORE THAT THERE WAS AN EXCLUSION IN MY POLICY FOR ANY TYPE OF SERVICES AND DRUGS IN ANY WAY RELATED TO WEIGHT LOSS UNLESS THROUGH APPROVED PREVENTION AND WELLNESS SERVICES. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON GETTING AN APPROVAL ELLEN ADONICC@AOL    — Ellen M. (posted on September 15, 2000)

The exact language of your policy is needed before offering much help. I have posted reams of information about this subject. First look at the way the policy is written. If it is iron clad you must use comorbids to get the surgery. Again we need to have EXACT words. Do not jump to conclusion it is not covered just because of that goofy phrase in your question. I hope they don't think that will intimidate us? They don't know who they are dealing with here. This is a combined effort of sooooo many to make sure everyone who needs WLS gets WLS.
