Question:
HELP! UHC denied me, said not a covered service, can I appeal?

It is a self-pay thru Southwest Airlines (husband's job) and UHC manages the account. Can I appeal to them, or is it a waste of time? I haven't got the reason for the denial yet, (closed office EST) but I'll know more in the morning. Any suggestions???? Please...    — Helena R. (posted on June 21, 2001)

Is UHC United Health Care? If so, that is who I had as well as friends and we were all approved. It was out of network so it paid 70% but that is better than nothing. I would appeal, all you have to lose is time. Good Luck

By all means fight!!! I have UHC PPO and I was approved in a week. I don't know anything about EPO's, but I kind of imagine it to be all in the same.

Hi ! I was denied by my insurance company, even after I appealed it. I then went through the local Vocational Rehabilitation program and they pay for your surgery and your after care 100%.
