Question:
I am waiting for an approval, Any advice on what to do next?

I am waiting for an approval from Cigna HMO Florida, cannot seem to get any answers from the people who answer the phones. My surgeon says the paperwork was faxed to Precertifcation on 8/22/01. Any advice? I'm growing impatient!    — Donna S. (posted on September 5, 2001)

I got ahold of my insurance company and made sure to get a name of someone in particular. Then I had the Dr's office refax the information in that persons name. That way it didn't sit in the file drawer for a month waiting for an employee to pick it up in the order it was received. Someone in the company told me this process would save around three weeks waiting time.
