Question:
Do anyone know what the approval process for EHP insurance is.

I have emailed surgeon for consult. appt. I am still waiting for a response. However, I am aware that he will have to submit a letter for approval to the insurance company. I am trying to figure out what is the criteria for approval from EHP. Any help to this question will be greatly appreciated,    — love2bsmaller (posted on January 4, 2006)

Don't give up your fight with the insurance company no matter WHAT they tell you. Document EVERY phone call, chat, message, etc., with everyone you come in contact with. Aetna screwed up and I had a conversation documented. They overturned my denial based on that call. Diana McWilliam

I am not sure about EHP, however I know that on my insurance card there is a number to call for customer service. I have used that number many times to find out what requirements are for various things. My insurance company also has an online website for support as well. Maybe you can find out what you need to be getting together straight from them? Hope this helps. :)

Call or go online to find out your insurance company's guidelines. Then you will know exactly what you have to do, rather than getting it second-hand. document everything. If you need to be on a doctor-supervised diet for a certain amount of time, set your surgery date up with the surgeon for about two weeks after that period ends. that way, you will already have a date while you are following the rules for your insurance. Good luck!
