Question:
I wanted to let those of you who are fighting an employer exclusion to keep fighting!

I was denied based on an employer exclusion and I wrote ONE letter (not a formal appeal) and they called me yesterday to let me know that I have now been approved as long I meet the "medically necessary" criteria. I thought I was going to have to switch from my husband's BC/BS over to an HMO through my company but now I don't have to! It was worth the time it took to write that letter! I too have been denied through my husbands employer.Could you plese email me the exclusion letter. So i can appeal. I have already had WLS 17 years ago Called VBG (vertical banded gastroplasty.)To help my health issues. I lost 135lbs regained 65lbs. & maney new life threatening health problems.I need to have a revision & A Open RNY. Sure hope you can help me... Thanks Gail
