Question:
How do I stop weight gain after being put on hormones?

Hello! I am almost three years post op BP. I was 326 lbs and went to 147 lbs. I had my total Hysterectomy a year ago and was put on hormones. Since then I have gained about 40 pounds. I am really getting discouraged with it I was 7 pounds from my goal weight and now I am 40 from it. Does anyone have any suggestions?    — singlemom3 (posted on January 23, 2012)

Talk to your doctor to see if there are any hrt that wouldn't cause this problem. If you're still in touch with the center that did your wls, talk to the dietician/nutrionist about different options to lose the extra weight.

I am new on here and have NOT had the surgery. I am hoping that I will be approved to do so. I have, however, had a hysterectomy 12 years ago, including removal of both ovaries. After the first 6 months I decided not to continue with the hormones. Of course, check anything with your doctor.
