TEXAS LAP BAND COST?????

Being in Texas you're a neighbor to Mexico. They've done LAP bands far
longer than the US and have heard they're more affordable. I've not done
that myself but have heard of many others who have. Have you checked the
library for any one quoting costs? I know I've read several posts where
folks have mentioned a site specifically for LAP banders. Good luck!

In the Houston area, Dr. Spivak charges $15,000.
I went to Mexico to Dr. Jose Rodriguez for $6500.

One of my docs just moved here fom Dallas, Tx where he did the lap-band.
You can contact him (Dr Snow) at www.coloradobariatrics.net and he might be
able to tell you about his peers in Texas. Also, the people who make the
band at www.bioenterics.com do their own financing too. Good luck, I think

Dr Adam Smith in Fort Worth Texas does the Lap band surgery. He charges
$912.00 for the inital consult. But you see a psychologist,nutritionist and
him. Then the surgery cost $21,500. It covers everything for 1 year. all
post-op visits all fills, all nutritionist consults and psych consults for
that year. Cause you know alot of times people have issues that got them to
over eating. They do have a financing available. for the $21.500. For more
