does texas medicaid cover the lapband procedure?

Hi ,i had lap-rny on june15th,06 at houston cyfair hosp..www.nwendosurical.com Dr Stlaurent..at the time they would not pay for lap-band ...he is a great dr ....Brenda

hi i dont know about texas medicaid but in nc they do not pay for the lap band. i even tried to fight medicaid and the judge sided with them and not me. saying that the lap band was experimental. good luck to you

yes jan 2009 medicaid now approves it with say that you have to have a coulple unlying conditions
