Question:
Has anyone had any experience with Medallion Medicaid of VA

My PCP has set-up pre-op meeting with WLS surgeon here in Bristol. But has expressed how "hard" it is to get Medicaid to cover the cost. My BMI is 46.2 and multiple medical issues that might be resolved with losing a substancial amount of weight.    — Susan B. (posted on February 9, 2009)

Go through the process and keep strong I am sure the medicaid company will want 6 months of nutrtion appointments and a lot of testing done.Don't let anything discourage you follow through and know in your heart this journey is something you achieve to follow through on. Best wishes and Good Luck

I didn't have medallion medicaid but I had colorado medicaid and they covered my surgery with out any problems. My bmi was 50 and I had no medical problems. Good luck!!!
