Question:
Does anyone know of insurance that covers bariatric surgery in Illinois?

I've been overwhelmed by the fact that I can not find an insurance company that will cover this surgery. I do not want to pay out of pocket. Have any of you, that have had the surgery, been covered? reseach surgeons in your area, then call some surgeons and ask about insurance info.... best wishes on your adventure;:) my WLS was back in july 2001.

i heard obamacare cannot refuse any medically acceptable surgery and premiums are based on your income. The blues are part of obamacare AKA the affordable care act. You should research this, it may be a great solution:)
