Question:
Trouble w/ Ins. approval...Has anyone had to have their HR Dept approve?

I've been denied twice by my insurance company and they said that they will send my next appeal to my HR Department at work for their approval...... any experiences w/ this?    — pamela1 (posted on November 11, 2002)

Yes, this happened to me. You see, your HR department buys an insurance policy from your provider just like you would buy one. Some things they pay for, some things they don't and their premium price is based on those selections. I would suggest that you call your HR department and talk to the benefits person and let them know you are appealing and want to know the appeals process. Start getting your paperwork together - if you need help, e'mail me and I will assist you. I have a great letter for your HR department.
