I was just denied by wellcare (HELP)

first is it wrote in your insurance plan that it don,t cover it?If it,s
wrote it will not cover any weight loss,there is really nothing to be
done!! If it is do you meet the medical part such as (diabetes,high blood
pressure,sleep apna)ect..Your pcp can help you with that appeal.After you
read your policy,if you can tell me more about it I,ll try and help you.

Hi Nanette, I had/have Wellcare they covered my surg here in Florida. I had
to use there list of DRs. I saw a few and made my choice of a wonderful DR
in Largo, Fl. Dr. Gordon was /is wonderful! His entire staff has been great
to me. His office did all the requesting of my surg. we did all the
pre-reqs and submited it and in about 2weeks we where approved. I'd be
happy to give you any direction I can. I wish you well!

You might want to look for ideas to help at www.obesityaction.org
They have sample letters you can use and send to your insurance company to
educate them about the necessity and benefit to them regarding your
long-term health care costs that will affect their bottom-line.
They have a lot of good resources and information. I'd encourage you to
check out their site.
