My sister is considering having surgery in Brazil. Has anyone had RNY in Brazil?

I don't know about Brazil, but I highly recommend Dr. Roberto Rumbaut in Monterrey, Mexico. He is the best of the best, and has a web site. Just Google him.

I am Canadian and I was wondering why your sister is wanting to go out of her own country when surgery is available in the USA? Is the cost different? I was just wondering. I know that the care and folow up is excelent in the USA. your sister would have to have the followup in the USA anyway right?

Thanks, everyone. She is thinking of having the surgery in Brazil because her insurance will not cover the cost of surgery and the cost in Brazil appears to be a lot less than what it would be to have it here in the U.S.
