Question:
I have horizon (NJ PLUs)

I did all my test, but i waiting for a aprovol, i would like to know if new jersey plus take too long, all my paper was sent on 03/27/06 and i don't know if i have to wait many weeks or they aprove easy, i am so happy to have the can of sergury doon i am 6'00 ft tall and i 280, i am a simgle mothe with three beutiful kids, i have a 8 years old and twing a boy and a gild one year 1/2, i want they be happy with my new me......thanks for any opinion u can give me.Janeth    — janethjaquez (posted on April 2, 2006)

I have BCBS/Horizon of NJ and have been waiting 2 weeks for approval. The company says it takes 30 days.

I have bc/bs of NJ and I got approved within a few weeks with no problem. I have a 45 bmi and no other health problems except sleep apnea.

I have Horizon BCBS NJ Plus. I went to an out of network surgeon. I was approved for surgery before my surgery and it took about 1-2 weeks. I am now 3 1/2 months p/o and NJ Plus has sent me the billing statements saying they have paid for the hospital but not the 19K for the surgeon. I am not sure what good approval does. I have heard it is not uncommon for the insurance to deny the claims the first time it is submitted.
