Question:
Anyone have Health Net of Northeast?

I am a month away from my consultation with the surgeon. I am really nervous and excited. Both the surgeon and the hospital participate but I am a worry wart and I am having nightmares that the insurance will deny me. Anyone out there Have Health Net of Northeast that can offer any incite as to there experience? I make myself sick worrying that I will not be able to have surgary cause I cant afford to pay for it myself. I have HealthNet Northeast formerly PHS...they approved me with no problem. Good luck.

Like Christine, I also have HealthNet Northeast, formerly PHS. I too was approved with no problems. My doc's office got authorization the same day the request was submitted.

I have Health Net of Northeast and what a migraine headache it has been. They denied me 2 days before surgery and kept on asking for different letters and diffrent information. I had my second denial last friday and yesterday the grievances department had a conference call with me, 3 doctors from Health Net and me. All they want now is my clinical records from my doctor, the clinical sheets where he write what you are there to see him for, for the past 5 years where it shows that I have been under his care for a supervised diet for a period of 12 months within 5 years. Make sure whatever you do that you have that when you go see your surgeon. It has been a nightmare for me!! Let's see what they come up with after they get this information. I was told that as of January 2002 they had changed their criteria for this surgery. Anyways GOOD LUCK TO YOU!
