Question:
Brigham Young University Revision

I am wondering if there is anyone who has had the "office procedure" revision performed at Brigham Young. I have some questions: 1) How overweight were you to be considered for the procedure? 2) If you were self-pay, how much did it cost (from first appointment to last checkup)? 3) How much weight have you lost since the procedure? 4) Do you dump, did you before you had the revision? 5) Has the amount you can eat returned to what it was after the first RNY? 6) Were you able to return to work immediately? Any other comments would be greatly appreciated.    — Shelia N. (posted on March 6, 2006)

Dr. thompson, of Brigham Hospital in Boston, does an endoscopic bariatric repair revision, it is done through the mouth and esphogus, he makes your pouch and or stomas smaller, it is non-invasive, I spoke with a peron who has lost 49 pounds in 2 months, this is brand new, i have a conaultation date for May 15, 2006, it takes at least 5 months just to get a consult with him. My insurance will pay for this but not for a revision. I am very excited about this.
