Question:
I live in CA & have Horizon Blue Cross/Blue Shield of NJ insurance. Anyone else?

I was just curious if anyone has has this insurance company. I looked on the website and it gave 2 hospitals for WLS...one in NJ and the other PA.    — sweetcheeks194 (posted on September 27, 2007)

my husband has this insurance -- BUT we live in NJ -- he did his 3 month diet that they requested at the time -- and he was approved in 2 weeks -- the only out of pocket was $300 for the hospital and the co-pays for the docs -- other than that he had NO trouble being approved -- what hospital do you normally go to?? if they took your insurance for other reasons then they should take it for surgery -- after all, it is SURGERY still :) talk to your surgeon -- talk to other people you work with and ask what hospital they use -- ask your PCP what hospital he is affiliated with -- good luck to you :)

I have Horizion BCBS NJ Plus HMO I was just approved for a revision from RNY to DS. It took 1 week to approve Ciao, Leslie

Nicole, I live in hode Island and they do the surgery at Rhode Island Hospital. I had mine done by Dr. Roye!! EXCELLENT surgeon.
