how long do it take for greatwest to approve one

We had Greatwest ins in 2008 and I knew 2 co-workers who sent in their packets for approval and both were denied. Greatwest wanted them to work with their primary care physician for 6 months regarding their diet and exercise. Also, they wanted 6 months of weight-ins. After they completed their 6 month process, they were finally approved. I hope they don't make you jump through a ton of hoops.
