Question:
Has anyone with mailhandlers been approved for adjustable lapband surgery?

I am a federal employee with Mailhandlers insurance(standard option) and just wondering if anyone else with this policy has been approved for the adjustable lapband surgery?    — muttluvers (posted on January 5, 2003)

Hello. I also have Mailhandlers insurance and I posted this question before but not about the band. I've heard from several people that this insurance is easy to get approval from. So I think that the lap-band would be approved too. I would call then and check it out. Good Luck!!:)

Laura, I don't know about the lap band, but I'm having the RNY on 1-7-03, and had NO problems with Mailhandlers approving it, infact they approved it in ONLY 4 business days,.. what a relief, good luck.

Laura, Please let me know if you get a response because me and you are in the exact same situation. I want the lapband and I also have mailhandlers standard and tricare prime. Please keep me posted okay. Thanks
