Question:
I have Blue Cross/Heath Options HMO in Florida.

My policy does state it will cover for medical reasons. Has anyone had to deal with Health Options? Wanted to know if there are any words of wisdom before I submit my request?    — Darcy T. (posted on August 21, 1999)

Darcy, I have Health Options also. They wouldn't cover me because I wanted to go out of network for the lap surgery. I'm not sure what the outcome would have been locally. I haven't really had an problem with them for other things. Diane

I also have blue cross, I am a federal employee and they told me that I could not be denied because it is stated in my plan brochure that it is covered, try calling your carrier and just ask some questions. I have heard that blue cross is the easiest to get approval with. Good luck

hi darcy my name is ken and yes yes yes blue cross blue sheild of florida will approve you as i was with doctor robert marema of ft lauderdale i had mine april 14 th 99 was 308 now im 240 so yes they will if you have more questions email me at [email protected]
