Question:
Please recommend a insurance for me

Has anyone change insurance after getting started on the approval process I have already went to the surgeon and did all the pre-testing, but I cannot get letter of necessity. First MD said he would recommend because medicaid would not pay and I would end up in debt, second my GYN said he would recommend if I had a surgery that he wants but i refused, third MD refused said he doesn't know me, and finally today another MD said that it too hard to get medicaid approval so try this Meredia. is there anyone who could not get letter of recommendation and change to insurance that does not require a letter from MD. and does not have the pre existing condition clause. Please try a bariatric surgeon. You should have greater success in terms of the letter of medial necessity. See what type of insurance he accepts and then make a decision.

When I first started this journey had no insurance and had no MD. Well after I got insurance I was afraid to go to just any old MD for a referal for WLS so I posted on the message board for anyone in my area who had a WLS friendly Dr. to give me there DR."s name ect.. I also looked up in the peer section and privately emailed people who lived in towns near me who are member of this board, asked for there Dr.'s name ect. Now I have a very good primary care Dr.! It did take about 3 weeks to get in! At the time I thought that was a big deal but now that I have been denied cause of not having a supervised diet! Now that is a big deal!!! My appeal went in Nov.20! Still no word! Except Aetna keeps asking for a supervised diet! I am on mth 3! Good Luck! Cyndi
