Question:
Has anyone from PA ever had this surgery using the PA Access medical insurance?

Click on "insurers" on the top of this page..Look under your state and see if you can fine the insurance you are asking about...

I checked for you and saw at least 7 differnt people with this insurance. Seems they were usually approved after first letter. They did remark about the wait so be prepared for that but it looks promising....Good luck

Shawn: My son has PA Access, Best Health Care, which is a division of UPMC Enhanced HMO. Neither of us knew about this until I started researching this site 6 months ago. Apparently, with Access, you either choose or are assigned to an HMO which controls your insurance claims. So just having PA Access is not the entire story. Anyway, my son was approved in 2 weeks with his insurance. With his plan, he had to have clearance from his PCP, a nutrition and psych eval before the paperwork could be submitted. Good luck, and I hope yours is approved as well.
