Question:
I was wondering what peoples experience with Oxfordhealth USA is?

My husband has a chance to change insurance companies to Oxford. Because we live out of the Tri-State area it will be Oxford USA. I am not familar with that and have not been able to find a lot of information. Thanks in advance for any assistance    — Natalie J. (posted on December 30, 2003)

I have the Oxford Freedom Plan out of NY. I had very little difficulty with them. A colleague who had her surgery just about 2 weeks ago did however need to document her weight loss attempts. She was approved though, and is doing well.

I had oxford freedom plan and they approved my surgery with no problems at all. I lived in PA and my husbands employer was in NJ. We got on the plan in March 2001, I had my consult with the surgeon in May, (was approved in 10 days) and had my surgery in July 2001. I did all of the necessary paperwork and consults before I went to my consult with the surgeon, just to make it easier and quicker. It worked out just as I had prayed it would. Good luck!
