Question:
you think i can get approved with this exclusion

My insurance is self-funded through my husband job. the policie reads Charges for the surgical treatment of obesity or morbid obesity, that is under exclusions. Then it reads Morbid obesity will be coveted if treatment is deemed medically necessary. Coverage includes identifiable medical expenses including prescribed anti-obesity medications and is subject to the maximum benefit as shown in the schedule of benefits. Surgical treatment of morbid obesity is excluded. I do have acid reflux and arthritis . Is there any hope for me.    — tanya S. (posted on July 23, 2002)

Wow, what a mouth full!! All I can suggest is call the ins. company, and straight out ask them, that's what I did. I didn't even have to give my name/policy # because we were switching to them & I didn't have that info yet. You may just have to tell them what company. Good Luck!
