Question:
what is approval timeframe with bcbs-alabama/ppo through bellsouth?

I had my initial appt last and am a little anxious for insurance to get going. as of 2/26, they didn't have anything. anyone with bcbs through bellsouth have any words of wisdom?    — Wendy S. (posted on February 27, 2003)

I had bcbs of alabama - PPO - but not bellsouth. They approved within the week. Very nice and pleasant and i called everyday and I think they actually approved me the day they got the papers. Just took awhile for my doctor to send it to them. Good Luck.

I HAVE BC/BC PPO OF MARYLAND AND IT TOOK 1 WEEK. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!

I have BC/BS of Alabama thru a different company and it took 12 days. Good luck!!!

I have BCBS of Alabama, but not through Bellsouth. It took them two weeks to show that they had actually received the fax, but after that it took approx a week for the approval. I called every day to see whether it had been received/approved yet.
