Question:
Has anyone been approved with BC/BS TRS? How tough is it?

Just starting my insurance approval with BC/BS TRS. Have submitted the required info and they asked for 12 months Dr. supervised diet. My internist of 20 years wrote a letter indicating the need for byspass. We've treid everything except sewing my lips together! Would like to hear from others about their journeys, how long? what to expect, appeal terminology that has worked.....thanks pl    — Pat L. (posted on July 26, 2005)

I have TRS Active Care and was approved 2 1/2 years ago with no problems whatsoever. Not sure what my doc said that was so convincing, but with a BMI of 60 and multiple co-morbidities, it probably wasn't a hard sell. :-)
