Question:
why don't I see many posts about premera blue cross?

I hardly ever see a post about premera blue cross in washington state. my plan has a specific exclusion, but do any of you in washington state have premera blue cross and have had your surgery approved? mine was denied and i plan to appeal, just wondering if anyone has had experience with them? thanks, darci    — darci T. You don't see much because Premera SUCKS! My husband and I (we are from Washington state too) tried to get our surgery approved, showed medical necessity, and went through all of their various appeals processes to no avail. Don't get me wrong, you definitely should do all you can...who knows, your contract might be different than ours. However, due to the direct exclusion in our contract, we had to pay for both of our surgeries out of pocket. Best of luck to you! Keep fighting...and if you have any questions, feel free to email us!

You don't see any approvals from MSC/Premera Blue Cross because as far as I know there are NONE.....I hate to sound negative but I would look down other avenues. Then again someday there will be a first, maybe it is you! GOOD LUCK! (i am from wash. too)
