Question:
My Evergreen has a WLS exclusion, will Cigna PPO pay?

My friend's Evergreen policy excludes WLS. My friend wants to submit her request under her husband's policy which covers her as a dependant. Will it pay? Has anyone had this Cigna PPO experience? hi there, just wanted to let you know that i have cigna ppo through my husband and yes they do cover gastric bypass as long as it is medically necessary..i am waiting for my approval right now....it also helps to have a bmi over 40. i have arthritis in my back, stress incontinence, fatique, and heart disease and diabetes run in my family, so hopefully i will hear soon

Yes, Cigna PPO is great. They approved me within one week and a coworker was approved within 2 weeks. As long as you have your diet history and letter of medical necessity you are good to go! Kim -43
