Question:
Has any one had biliopancreatic diversion that medicare paid for?

I am thinking of getting the BPD as opposed to lap bands. I'm just wondering about other peoples' experiences with the surgery and if any one had medicare pay for it. Please e-mail me. [email protected]    — sherri W. (posted on September 14, 2001)

Do you mean the bilipancreatic diversion WITH the Duodenal Switch? Very few, if any, surgeons are doing the BPD withOUT with Switch anymore. Dr. Anthone does the BPD/DS and accepts medicare. You can reach him at 1-800-USC-CARE. USC University Hospital in Los Angeles. ....http://www.mywls.com/body_duodenal_switch/body_duodenal_switch.html
