I have the opposite problem. I am only a 40C and worry about losing them! My surgeon said that it depends on the patient, but I know there are a lot of people on this website who have needed reductions after surgery. Hopefully, some of them will post. If not, try the chat room.

I was hoping I would lose some of mine, but so far, it's the last place it coming from. I will definitely need a reduction when the weightloss slows down. Before I had surgery, I wore a (gasp!!) 46I....I'm now wearing a 38H. The cup size won't budge, but I'm losing "around".

I hope I don't lose the cup size, I love my large breasts....52dd/e depending on bra. And I don't want to have just skin hanging as I have read some other women have experienced. Good question.

As far as for me, I am almost 12 weeks out and my boobs are not budging! Just as big as the day of surgery. I hope they disapear as far as I am concerned. I don't know, I have lost almost 65 lbs and I am not sure when they will get smaller. I think we are all different.

Mine didn't get much smaller, but they sure got droopier! I went from a 52DD to a 44DD (and still losing). My skinny sister wears a 36CC, so that is probably close to where I will land when I reach goal. Some people have big chests just because they are heavy and are storing fat there. Others have big chests because they just inherited big chests. It's hard to say which group you are in, and I guess you'll just have to wait and see. Good luck!

I started out wearing a 44 DDD, now 10 months later, I am starting to fit into a 34 D. Haven't ever worn that size. My first bra was a 36 C. Nickname throughout fifth, sixth and so forth was Dolly Parton. I am loving it. My hubby is crying over it.

I'm almost 2 years out, too, and, yeah, the girls are gone... well, they are there, just more South.... I went from about a 52DD to a 38C and I LOVE IT!!! Granted, I wish they were perkier & maybe someday I will be able to afford the PS, BUT I love being able to wear tops I could never wear before, they don't slide down onto my throat when I lay down, and even if they are saggy, they look great in a cute little bra! I even found chest bones! Who knew??!?? I was always big-chested, too, even at 12 & 13 years old. This is probably the smallest bra I have worn since 7th grade.

I went from a 46D to a 32A. There is NO fat in the breasts and if I didn't have to squish all that skin into a bra I am sure that I would be a double A. I am also very tiny now (size 4)though and big breasts would have looked pretty dumb on me at this point. Just be prepared because, if you are over the age of 35, I think that our skin doesn't "bounce back" as nicely as they once did at 20.

Well, I was in a 48H pre-op and I'm down to a 38 DDD/DD depending upon the style and brand. I'm happy that I'm down, but they sure migrated "south" on me. I'm going to have reconstructive surgery this summer, and am considering a breast lift at the same time. The PS thinks the insurance may cover the breast lift also, since they are sagging so much. Much of what happens to your breasts is determined by how much fat and how much breast tissue you have as well as genetics and age. Good luck.

I am only 6 weeks post op but having the most weird thing happen to my "puppies". I went from a 44DD to an overflowing 42DDD! How can my cup size be getting bigger? I used to loose my boobs first when dieting. Now I'm loosing in the butt. I have gone down 2 pants sizes and nothing in shirts. I was talking about this in a support group and 2 other girls said that they had the same experience early on and then eventually lost some cup size.

I was a 38dd before surgery and am still a 38dd 3 months after surgery!! I've lost pretty much all the weight from my upper half of my body (down 61 pounds), My weight loss now seems to be working from my waist down. I've always had large breasts (since the 5th grade) so I think I always will.
