Question:
Denial...do I get Walter Lindstrom to fight insurance co. OR my employer???

How do I know if the insurance company is denying me ("policy exclusion") or is it really my employer? If I want to hire an atty. to fight this, who does the atty. appeal to, my insurance company or my employer? Should I go directly to my employer myself, and if so, what should I say?    — [Anonymous] (posted on August 19, 2000)

You need to get a copy of your policy to see if there's an exclusion or what the exclusion says. The only way the insurance company can deny you because of your employer, is if they put in the contract that they don't want the insurance company to cover wls. You need to call the insurance company & find out why you were denied. If it's an exclusion, sometimes there's ways to fight that. If it's your employer you may need to ask them to include this in your policy. With some investagation you could probally tackle this with out Walter.
