Question:
Can anybody help me in finding a Insurance in IL that covers WLS

I was denied from my insurance because WLS is in their exclusions. Has anybody bought an adittional insurance like a high risk state issued insurance that does not exclude WLS in the state of IL? And if yes how much does something like that cost?    — Kerstin E. (posted on July 11, 2001)

I am in Illinois and I have United Healthcare Open Access. You have to make sure your insurance policy has no exclusions for WLS. They approved me in 3 days.

I have Blue Cross & Blue Shield Of IL. PPO Network, and they just approved me after one week. They have been great. I called just about everyday and they were always polite and concerned.
