Dr. submitted my paperwork

I'm just wondering if any of you AETNA/USH HMO people could give me an idea how long Aetna usually takes to ok/deny the surgery.    — [Anonymous] (posted on September 22, 2001)

I have Aetna PPO and they take 30 days. Not sure with HMO

I have a bmi of 45 and it took aetna less than 24 hour to approve me for surgery. the request was recieved on 8/16 and my approval letter was dated 8/16. I got it in the mail on 8/19.Thank God

My Dr has also submitted my paperwork, just last week. I have heard that AEtna is one of the easier ones to get approval with!! My friend had her approval with AEtna in less than 4 days and I am hoping that mine goes just as quick. Lets keep our fingers crossed!! :)
